The Doctorate of Ministry – Religious Research (DRR) Track is 32 Hours \u2013 Total Hours Required 184<\/p>\n

Prerequisites: <\/strong>Doctorate\u00a0Degree and a Religious Research Doctoral Dissertation

\nHours required over the track are made up of life\/work\/ministry (LWMT) credits, prerequisites and electives.<\/p>\n

Required Track Courses:<\/strong><\/p>\n

DRR-9004 – Advanced Apologetics<\/strong>
\nThis course brings together the most popular and heart-stirring presentations in defense of Christianity.\u00a0 It is designed not only for the pastor, but anyone who feels a need to know more about Christ and His ways and the desire to see His humanity.<\/p>\n

DRR-9014 – A Study of the Church Fathers<\/strong>
\nA clearly written text ushers in an accessible introduction to ten church fathers who shaped the way we worship and read the Bible today.<\/p>\n

DRR-9024 – Self-Directed Research Study<\/strong>
\nStudent\u2019s choice of reference materials and subject \u2013 must be approved.<\/p>\n

DRR-9034 – Christian Philosophy I<\/strong>
\nThis course includes a lively and thorough introduction to philosophy from a Christian perspective and introduces the student to the principal sub disciplines of philosophy, including the triune God, the attributes of god, the god of truth and arguments for the existence of God.<\/p>\n

DRR-9044 –\u00a0<\/strong>Christian Philosophy II<\/strong>
\nThe second course in this series, it also offers a lively and accessible introduction and a wealth of insight into the history of Christian thought and the colorful personalities who gave it shape and form.\u00a0 Among others, it discusses Augustine, Aquinas and Luther.<\/p>\n

DRR-9054 – Assigned Research \u2013 The First Council of Nicea<\/strong>
\nStudent\u2019s choice of reference materials.<\/p>\n

DRR-9064 – Elective<\/strong>
\nChoice of course chosen from the FBCS Catalog.<\/p>\n

DRR-90164 – Major Field Reading<\/strong>
\nStudent chooses and reads two books (not less than 200 pages each) that coincide with your major field. He\/she then must submit the title, author and ISBN to FBCS. Work cannot be started until approval is given.<\/p>\n

DRR-90174 – Assigned Research \u2013 The History and Development of the Bible<\/strong>
\nStudent\u2019s choice of reference materials.<\/p>\n

DRR-90184 – Major Field Reading<\/strong>
